Hillhurst Sunnyside Farmers’ Market is rooted in community. We not only support local farmers and artisans, but also open our market to like-minded, not-for-profit groups, offer opportunities for musicians to busk at the market each week, support our vendors by offering space for CSA pick-ups, and facilitate activities for children.
Not-for-Profit Booths
Each week we will be offering complimentary booths to a few local groups. If you are a not-for-profit and interested in this opportunity, please complete the vendor application found under the 'BECOME A VENDOR' tab.
Due to interest and a need for commitment, we ask that non-profits submit a nominal fee to secure a table, which will be reimbursed at the end of the market day. The holding fee must be received prior to market day.
Busking

Community Supported Agriculture
Do you want want a direct connection to a source for local, fresh, good, and healthy food? Do you like the idea of knowing where your produce is coming from? Why not look into investing in CSA!
CSA, or Community Supported Agriculture, is an approach to growing and purchasing food that has farmers and consumers working cooperatively. Before the growing season, consumers purchase a “share” of the farmer's harvest for the season. By doing this, the farmer gains a guaranteed market, and the consumer gains high quality, fresh food as it becomes available. When purchasing a CSA share, you build a special relationship with the farm as you are sharing in both the rewards and the risks that come with farming.
Most CSA farms are certified organic or emphasize sustainable production practices. They usually produce mixed vegetables but some offer fruits, meat, eggs, flowers, and other products. Each CSA is run differently, but your products are generally delivered weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. They can be sent to a central location (such as a Farmers’ Market) or picked up on the farm; just talk to your farmer about their delivery method.

Kids Activities
We strive to make the market a space for the entire family. Each week there is a craft table with a planned activity, and often a face painter too! Our special markets also aim to incorporate kids' activities into the agenda. Don't miss the Kids Market on July 15th!
